I'm thinking of starting my own home business soon using my own cross stitch designs, which I can produce quicker than I can cross stitch them. Does anybody have any tips I could use to start it? Or do any of you do this kind of work from home or know someone who has that might be able to give me some good tips?? And what about having/using a website to sell my work on? Any tips on starting it too since I don't have a website yet but I would like to use one for this. And what about copyrighting my designs for both the website and the booklets that I would be selling my designs in?? Can anybody provide info on that or where I can learn more on it? I'm half deaf so phone use will be a major problem (which is where the website helps) and I can not work full time due to a TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) I suffered when I was a child, which caused my deafness and hearing loss. Any tips and info would be helpful and muchly appreciated on these. Thanks.

if you use the empty design surface toggle when creating a surface in RD, then the S/W will not permit you to update the components. This is because the features that make up the components as well as the components displayed in the cross sections have now lost their intelligence. The GUID's that control this functionality have changed. Essentially you are creating new features and components by using that option.
There are other options that mantain the GUID's. Or you can turn off the features and components first. Then run the Create Surface command (with empty turned on) and then update the sections by Display On....

If I have components of a roadway displayed in cross section and I then rerun the modeler to create a new surface it is no longer possible to refresh the components in cross section. I am left to manually delete them and then re-display them. Why is this the case? Why is it not possible to refresh them like the surface? Is there any way around this....maybe in a future release this will be possible???

People’s requirements promote the rapid growth of wireless technologies for providing anytime, anywhere ubiquitous communications. With the increasing Quality of Service (QoS) requirement of multimedia traffics, the next generation wireless communication systems are required to utilize the radio resource in a more flexible and efficient way. The idea of cross-layer design discards the idea of layered design and views separate network layers as a whole to design and optimize while providing the QoS requirement of multimedia traffics.This thesis offers several novel approaches on cross-layer design in point-to-point wireless link, end-to-end networks as well as cooperative networks. The contents of this work are listed as follows:For cross-layer design in point-to-point wireless link, we consider the problem of jointly exploiting the error-correcting capability of the hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) protocol at the data link layer and the adaptation ability of the adaptive modulation and coding (AMC) scheme at the physical layer, in order to maximize the throughput for quality-of-service (QoS)-guaranteed traffic. The queueing behavior induced by both HARQ and AMC is analyzed with an embedded Markov chain and we derive the closed-form expressions for performance metrics such as packet loss rate, throughput and average delay. Then, we propose a cross-layer design algorithm, which can improve the system performance with the QoS constraints.For cross-layer design in end-to-end hybrid wired/wireless networks, we consider the problem of jointly optimization of AMC at the physical layer, HARQ at the data link layer and transmission control protocol (TCP) at the transport layer. First, the performances of transport, data link and physical layers are modeled by some classical models. Then, we study the interaction between transport layer, data link layer and physical layer via a fixed-point procedure.
