I found in my garden what appears to be a brass hand made cross pendant with Jesus crusified. On the top there appears to be what looks like a bird flying towards Jesus and a man holding a staff. I have been searching the net for a while trying to find meaning of the images or another cross like it. Does anyone have any suggestions or have heard or seen such a cross?

yes. the birds are the holy spirit in the form of a dove. Jesus is being crucified and the man with the staff is joesph. The person who lived there before must have been supersticious.

Im wanting to start creating my own jewellery and selling it on etsy/ebay etc, and ive already had a look at some jewellery on there to see what sort of things will sell. But i wondered how they get the acrylic pendants/charms in the designs they want, and will it be expensive to make ? or can you just buy the pendants to simply put on a chain.

They almost definatly use a Lazer Cutter, we have one in school & we made some jewellery last year. Veryyy expensive piece of equiptment, only buy one if you're going to make the most of it !!

I think it is brass or black gun metal not sure. It looks hand made I found it in a house I recently bought. I just wonder if it is worth anything and how I could find out what it is worth.

brass is not worth very much as a precious metal would be so if it's pretty, there's where the value is

My friend is wanting to sell hand-made jewelery (pendants) and would like to incorporate images from comic strips, but does not want to violate any copyright laws. Since the images are printed and in the public domain, does that allow them to be used in art?

If the image is the central focus of the art, and is used to "sell" or promote the product, then it probably would infringe.

I have seen a collage that incorporated comics cut out of the newspaper, but there was no singular image used to promote the art.

To cut out pictures of comic strip characters and paste them on a necklace to sell as "Tweety" and "Goofy" and so on would probably be bad.
