My hobby is making jewelry, from necklaces to fine gemstone necklaces. I want to know how i can go about if i can start a small LLC.. and where i can get the money. the jewelry are nice, I am a disabled veteran that i make jewelry to relax me and i am already getting requests. I am on social security disability because my illness have my mood erratic and this way I want not just help me open business but also with time hire people with disabilities to help me out. can anyone guide me in the right direction who knows about business? I will appreciate your help a lot. My work is great. I have been doing this for over two years. Making necklaces have help me a lot.

I have a friend that does the same thing and she goes to different locations every week, she usually goes to nursing facilities or asst. living homes. All you have to do is have it ok'd by the administrator. I'm afraid you won't be able to get a loan to start a business like this unless you can prove that you already have clients, they will think it's too risky.

I handcraft all of my hemp jewelry. I have done this for about six years and they are really good, up to date with fashion but I live in a VERY small town and to try and sell them here wont work. I know about e-bay but I want my own thing like a website or something. Can anyone give me some detailed instructions on how I can do this?

I would suggest that you reconsider ebay or open a yahoo.com storefront as both sites generate a lot of hits whereas having your own web page can be expensive to develop/maintain/host plus there is the need to have folks know that you exist. This additional marketing expense can only be addressed by having "sponsor" links.

I handcraft all sorts of jewelry, hemp jewelry, wire wrapped jewelry, etc etc. I can't decide on a name for my business. It's narrowed down to this:

Kosmic River Creations
Earthly Wares
Kosmic Creek Creations

Any other suggestions would be highly appreciated.

You could do a play on words like "Earthen Wear" because it's jewelry...

"Amoterra" kind of a mix up of words, but they mean "I Love" and "Earth" I think it sounds cool for a Jewelry line
