jewellery necklace

Hi, I am trying to find a jewellery maker to design a necklace to match my mum's tartan wedding dress. Does anyone know any websites that i can check out? Thanks.

I had a celtic/scottish theme for my wedding in August and managed to find jewellery to match in Ortak jewellers. If you can get to Glasgow there is a shop in Partick called Robin hood and they do jewellery made from heather. The stalks are dried and coloured and they may match the tartan your mum will be wearing.

Yes i understand its health and safety but i have to wear my photo id tag which is hung around my neck on a long ribbon type thing! Whats the bloody difference?

They probably have insurance coverage for the ID getting caught in or on something, but for your personal belongings they don't have anything to protect them but the no jewelry policy, Its for your safety and theirs basically.

it should be reported to a shop assistant.. Most likely the woman if she is well off.. she can't help herself and she is just a cleptomaniac.. but one can't watch and let everybody help themselves... I would turn a blind eye if someone stole food.. they might really have not enough money.. but when it comes to stealing luxury items I would report it...They in all likelyhood make a note of it.. and if she is a cleptomaniac it's a thing she can't help a compulsion....

Yes it should be reported.. a boy stealing some food or anyone taking some food that I would not report to anyone....

There is a costume jewelry necklace I want, but it is gold and I need it in silver. Is there a way to change the color to silver? Maybe spray paint or a paint for jewelry? Thanks.

I don't know about changing a gold to silver. You can try to find a handcraft jewelry designer to see if they can 'replicate' the look to a similar design in the sterling silver metal.

I have a piece of jewellery that was passed down and given to me, originally my great grandmothers and is about 100 years old. It is a gold necklace with a heart locket that has several different coloured stones in it that make up a crown shape. Does anyone know anything about jewellery from this time period, how much it would be worth or what the significance of a crown would be? Was this a common thing on jewellery from that time period. Any info would be appreciated.

Maybe you should go to some sort of jewerelly shop near you and see what they think. It sounds like it would be worth alot, especially if you have taken good care of it.
