BESIDES EBAY OR AMAZON? even if its not silver thats ok, but i can only spend $10. any cheap jewelry sites?

People from all over the country buy their engagement ring at Cross Jewelers in Portland, Maine.

in my state, rings, bracelets, earrings, or even watches can't be worn at a cross country meet. does anyone know why? if it's not a contact sport, i would think that the jewelry isn't hurting anyone.

Its a stupid safety rule, we have it in NY.

They're afraid it could snag onto something, like earrings onto another's bracelet and rip out some earlobes.

I have a cross necklace and ring and on the back of both it says Vintage. I got them from a Jewelry store a few years back and i was wondering if anyone knew about this specific type of jewelry and where I can get/view some?

Try the antique shops. Many carry vintage jewelry and many of the appraisers can help you find the brand "Vintage" by looking in their books.

Before you suggest it, I did not, nor am I planning on getting one without my parents' permission. I want to get one for my eighteenth birthday but I'm busy with sports years round (cross country now), most of which aren't high contact sports. The only thing is that jewelry isn't permitted in most of these sports. If I were to get a tongue ring, would it be easy to hide?

It's pretty hard unless you plan on not opening your mouth. Its not good playing sports with piecings. I have a friend that had strechers on his ears and played football for his school and they tackled him hard and his helment flew, taking the strechers with it and his ear now looks retarded. lol sad but hey thats what happens. They have rules for a reason. I have a lip piercing myself and almost got my lip torn apart (almost but luckily nothing happned.. not that u care lol) playing sports. so not a good idea.

Where do I go to sell it? Tried ebay, no luck. Are pawnbrokers who buy 2nd hand jewellery ok?

you'll get scrap value if you sell to a pawn broker or a jeweler which is like $12 gram (=nothing)...average ladies rg = 6 grams ... your best bet is to put it for sale on craigslist.com or in the paper and sell it privately....and try for 1/2 of what you paid as it's used....unless you have an appraisal to verify what it's worth....then try to sell it just under appraisal value
