neckless cross

I droped my neckless and both my friends said it meant somthing?
I just don't know what they didn't want to tell me.
im catholic..
does it mean anything at all or in any other religion?

If you think it does, then it means something. Otherwise you just dropped a necklace.

Yes you can get a cross, or a fish if you want. FYI, the first Christians did not have crosses as symbols because the cross was seen as something distasteful by people in that day. Only the worst criminals and non Romans were killed on a cross. So it was not something you would have wanted to advertise around your neck. It would be like us wearing a small electric chair around our necks today. So the first Christians used a fish for a symbol instead. The cross was eventually accepted by the church later on as a symbol of christian faith and Jesus' sacrifice. Most people don't think of this anymore so it is okay to wear the cross. It helps remind us of our faith as we go about our day.

for me, the cross by itself is a pagan powerful symbol, and i do wear it a lot.
