Someone gave me a penny with a religious cross cut into it. I would like to start making them myself to give away. Trying to locate a place to purchase this ability.

You can buy a machine that does it but it's quite an investment.

What do you think of a religious cross as a tattoo? I've been thinking of getting a really small one on the side of my wrist. I'm just not too sure whether it's a good thing, or if it's bad to do that as being a a Catholic.
I'm open to any criticisms, whether you think that it's bad to do as a Christian, or if it's all right.

Getting a tattoo on the wrist can be bad because you will look like white trash, and it will be harder for potential employers to take you seriously. I was watching "seventh heaven" on tv the other day, and the dad who is a minister has a cross on his pelvic bone and his wive has a heart. The whole episode was about how all the members of their family have tattoos.....Their tattoos were coverable. Generally, tattoos that can't be easily covered make you white trash....or whatever color you are...black trash. I would never get a tattoo because not having one makes me feel culturally superior to people who do have them....and there are a lot of people who think the same as I do....like it or not....its your body...join the lower class if you wish.

What is the significance of this? Do "post-Easter" crosses have a place in your religious art and Jewelry too?




To Whom It May Concern: If you really want to completely lose my respect, post something anti-Catholic.

The significance is nearly as old as the faith itself -- it is a constant reminder of what Jesus suffered for us. It was also a teaching tool to show converts (who were not literate, or where language barriers existed) in the form of paintings and sculpture -- again, the horrible death Jesus suffered for us. It's also a unifying symbol; a way to recognize a brother or sister in Christ on sight.

"Post Easter" crosses (I am assuming you mean the Risen Christ, or a plain cross) can also be worn, kept in the house, etc -- but it really is the Crucifix that reminds us of His sacrifice.

Actually Priscilla, I read last year something from the Vatican about those Risen Christ crosses, and how they shouldn't be used. It'll be an easy internet search if you are interested.

Lately, ive been seeing celebrities wearing Cross necklaces/earings. Examples are rappers 50cent and T.I.

So i was just wondering if you guys know of anyone,
could even be a celebrity, who wears a cross necklace/earings just because they like it, or its in fashion, and NOT for religious purposes?

I wear it but not for religious reasons.
