silver christian jewelry

I lost my favorite ring last week and cannot find one anywhere on the internet. It can be either stainless steel or silver and has the words JESUS IS LORD etched into the ring. I wear a size 8. Any help would be very appreciated. Has anyone seen one in a jewelry store or possibly own one they would like to sell?

Do you really need a silver ring to remind you of this?

cost is not an issue, it is for my aunties birthday present, she will be 50, but she has been going on about getting more jewelry, and she has this gorgeous jesus cross necklace, that she has had for years, and she has been going on about wanting another one. It has to be Gold, because she is allergic to silver.

Is it that they want to be closer to God by wearing a Christian symbol Are they wearing it as a symbol of hatred like the old Romans did when they crucified Jews and other non citizens and Christ . Look at all the rappers and drama queens like Madonna, and her earrings . Look at all the wanna bee's wearing the same funny to see all the glitter on them and then a big cross that stands out from the rest
Well sorry , I was just curious The cross was a means of punishment and death by the Romans it is not worshiped in the Christian faith that I know of. It was a slow torturus death . Oh and by the way i havent put up a Christmas tree for over 25 yrs I use a nativity scene with out the wise men , seeing as how they were not there

That is the question of the day. We all have

Gold. In some countries, jewelry is a sign of
strength and power. Or in some cases, just
a novelty. And to others, it is a sign of vanity

Christians wear jewelry in church on Sundays ?

I don't think it's important whether a person wears jewelry or not to church..........it has nothing to do with their salvation, that's for sure...........

You can see me wearing my 'diamond' jewelry every time we have a church service...........just personal preference, I suppose...........

Christians, how do you feel about wearing jewelry that depicts symbols for a religion you do not follow?

I do a lot of costumed events and I frequently where jewelry for religions that I do not follow as part of the costume/character. Just recently I started seriously being aware of this fact and it gave me pause. I wanted to know how other people feel about it.

Examples:
I have a handmade silver rosary with a crucifix blessed in Rome that was given to me by a catholic former girlfriend. I occasionally like to wear it because it is beautiful and it reminds me of the good times we had. I am not a catholic and never have been.

I have a sterling ankh with cartouche (supposedly) imported from Egypt given to me by an follower of Kemetism (Egyptian Reconstructionist Paganism). We are close friends, and I know that the pendant meant a lot to him before he gave it to me. I do not follow Kemetism.

I have a handsome brass and copper Vodun Veve of Loa Agwe (protector of sailors and travelers) that I wear when I dress like a pirate. I know that it is consecrated because I did it myself. I am not a Houngan.

Theses are just some examples. Part of what has made me aware of it is that when I am wearing these symbols prominently people of that religion (or that choose to oppose that religion) approach me to talk about the symbols. Though I do not follow these religions, I NEVER wear something that I do not have some knowledge of; my crowd was big into wearing symbols, logos and flair designed to make a statement or draw attention, and we distained logos or symbols just for their popularity.

Personally, I am a Henotheist. I accept that there may be other gods, but I only worship my god. My god does not mind that I wear symbols of other religions, but I am not entirely sure how the other gods feel about it.
In answer to the question about why I did not just ask this question once with lots of belief systems at the beginning (or none): I have found in the past that if you do not target one belief system (or non-belief system) in the question a lot of people skip it. Also, if you put too many belief (or lack of belief) systems in the question it becomes a distraction from the question and many people do not bother.
I am more interested in hearing people’s opinions than I am worried about mildly annoying a few people.

Insightful post. I agree and see examples of what you speak of all the time. It really is interesting and disgusting at the same time. This entire country is a basket of symbols that stand for things most people have no clue about.

The eagle, the fasces in places too numerous to list, symbols on currency, brances of govornment, etc.

I am a Christian but I will be the first to tell you this country was indeed not founded on Christianity. It was just a cloak for Roman rule.

Funny how things once thought to be heretical in nature become everyday fashion statements.
