sterling collectibles

What does the "952" mean on a silver plate marked "Sterling 952"? Does anyone know the origin of this plate...when/where it was manufactured? Please see the following link:

I can't tell you where it originated, but I would advise you to figure it out by contacting the seller, and to make sure it is genuinely an antique. .952 from what I know is the Sterling designation for Mexican silver. They have a higher quality of silver than the law allows everywhere else in North America.
If I am assuming, if that is all it says, that it is manufactured in North America since in Europe and the UK since the before the 1970's it was common to simply stamp "fine/quality silver" instead of the standard .925 of North American manufacturers. Also, you should note, that there is no standard when it comes to silver dinnerware. In jewellery, there is more of a move towards .925 stamping, but more silver is used in the creation of dinnerware since it has to be more malleable.

Here#39;s my unbelievable box break of Topps Sterling where I pulled my All-Time favorite player, Bob Gibson! WHAT ARE THE ODDS??!?!?!?!?!!!!

My mother has TONS of old records that my stepfather accumulated when he was alive..things that seem to go back to the '40s, '50s and 60s.....like Tino and the Hawaiians, Sterling Holloway, Don Ho, John Gary, Paul Westin and His Orchestra, Billy Vaughn and his Orchestra, etc..etc.. and on and on and on........

We'd like to sell them, but aren't sure if they are collectibles or if anyone just would like to buy at a decent price.

I have a silver Oneida tea/coffee pot. On bottom it says Oneida. Is this real sterling silver or silver plated? Most that I see it says on bottom Oneida silver plated or copper silver plated. Mine has one word Oneida. So would it be real silver being it does not say silver plated? It weighs about 2.5 lbs. and is about 10" high..

It may Oneida on the bottom but look for the standard hallmarks several locations that I suggest is the inside of handle ,the rim or the underside of the lid check carefully with a magnifying glass if it is genuine the marks could be hidden in the pattern as well

I have a uk £50 sterling banknote. I am assured it is not a forgery, particularly as I know its source. I have been told that it may be a collectable - I am wondering if it is worth more than its face-value, and also how this could have happened.
