sterling cross earring

It's a thin sterling silver chain and the cross is about 1/2" width and height. Beautiful glass! I want to wear with a (sort of) low cut black sweater. Just not sure earrings, etc. Any help appreciated!

Well maybe have silver hoop earrings or any type of solid silver earrings that match the chain!?

And for braclets you can have a cheap diamond one? from claires or so..

I want to sell some Royal Mint jewellery (unwanted gifts) to a scrap gold/ second hand jewellery merchant but I don't know what it is worth. I have the following:
A 9ct gold chain & cross bar (with 10 small diamonds) & a 22ct half sovereign pendant from 2003 - limited edition of 5000. Also a pair of 9ct gold earrings in a cross design with a small emerald in the centre & very small diamonds. Finally a sterling silver fine chain with pendant & 3 small sapphires. Can anyone help? What is the minimum I should take? I had a look on www.royalmint.com & the jewellery on there isn't cheap, but if you are selling it on second hand what sort of price can you expect to get?

You would be well advised to take them to a reputable jewellery store or two, or a reputable pawnbroker, they also buy scrap gold and will give you a fair price.

Obviously you wont get full values as they need a margin for profit. If i were you i would also consider a reputable auction house as you might get a better price there, but get a valuation first and put a reserve on at 70% of full value.

I'm new to making my own jewelry and I have just decided to make a few sterling silver pairs of earrings for Christmas presents... before this I've only used craft wire which seems to stay together pretty easily by just hammering the piece down. However, when I made the same type of earrings with sterling silver wire, I can't get the pieces that are crossing to stay together... Is there a way to bond the parts that are crossing each other together (heat, glue, etc) or am I just not hammering it hard enough if they aren't staying together? I feel like I've hammered it pretty well, the wire itself is starting flatten out the roundness out a bit - which I don't want - so I'm scared to hammer any harder than I have.

Ah, if only the sterling silver wasn't so much more expensive than metal wire! It makes making mistakes a bit scary! :)
