The tattoo was my first(and only) tattoo. i am irish. I don't want to get all tatted up but after looking at it for a year and a half it looks too small. I was thinking of maybe getting a sun design around it but I don't want to get something everyone else has. If you type in "celtic cross red" on google images its the second one (however it is not red its all black). thanks!
You can tattoo a thin line , either plain or twisted , all around it , repeating the shape of the original picture . Not a big change , but it'll make your tattoo look more substantial .

I received a pewter pendant of a Celtic cross with an amber in the middle.
The cross is the type with four equal-length beams with a circle behind it.
Does anyone know the symbolic meaning of that and/or amber?
The Celtic cross- with 4 equal arms is a symbol of the sun-it's also called a sun cross, and a masculine symbol, but also similar to the yin/yang symbol in that it is often used to signify the reconciling of opposites. It is usually a very positive symbol and so is Amber
Okay i know that people will say if you don't know where to get a tattoo you shouldn't get it. But i don't care. I am going to be getting a tattoo that is a shamrock that meets in the middle (the petals) and where it meets in the middle is going to be a cross, either a regular type cross or celtic cross. My issue is i don't know where i should put it. I don't want it on my chest, legs or tummy. i was thinking just under the shoulder blade of my right shoulder so i can wear tube tops and it may just peak out but not be fully visible. What do you think? Any other suggestions as to where i should put it? Any ideas or tips would be appreciated. I plan to put something smaller on the back of my neck under my hair line. I want to put a cursive word on the inside of my wrist eventually.
I have one between my shoulder blades, right above my bra line and I love it. I love the wrist idea, I want one there too. I just got one on my foot and I am loving that too. Good luck;)
im getting a celtic cross tattoo but i am unsure of which type i would like to get.. anyone have any sugesstions? and where would i get it done?
Have a look here for some tattoo design inspiration http://www.thecoolwebsites.com/tattoodes igns.html. There is Tattoo search engine as well, so you could search for Celtic cross and see what happens.

Silver Cross Pendant – A stylish look with a unique set of conceptual
Silver cross pendant is nothing new, you may be surprised that a more primitive form of this clothing has been found to date back to before the birth of Christ. While most people understand what the Cross means to Christianity, you may be surprised that the Cross is very different and uniquemeaning.
The most common, the Christian cross, the one usually found on most of the people representing Christianity and the cross that Christ died for the sins of the world to save. Celtic Cross while still a religious cross can be seen as a symbol of heritage can be as much a symbol of faith. There are a lot of evidence that many backgrounds, as are the Scots, Welsh and Irish used this cross in their cultures so before Christ was born, andbefore the Celtic people to Christianity came. old Irish legend tells us that the same S. Patrick was a Latin cross, and then a circle on a moon goddess Pagen to take and that is how the Celtic cross came to be.
