The resin itself doesn't pose a threat, but it may have been treated with repellents, or even unintentionally sprayed, especially if it was at a garden store, or anywhere else where it might have been near plants that were sprayed. It would be a good idea to test it on a separate tank with something like Guppies (sounds cruel, but it's better than potentially losing a tank full of fish)-- if they live with the resin, it's pretty safe, if not, keep it out of the tank.

I have an outdoor statue made of plastic or resin whihc had a piece break off. I want to glue it back on and would like to know what type of glue is best to use. I need a glue that can take the weather (sun, rain, snow) and works on this type of material. I had thought of using Gorilla glue, but if there are better alternatives let me know.

my wife tried gorilla glue on a resin bird feeder. it held for a few days,but broke again when the cat knocked it over.i used all purpose epoxy and shes been feeding the birds for a couple of years now.the cat still knocks it over(chasing birds) and the epoxy glue is holding fast.
