gold rosaries

i have heard many stories about rosaries turning to gold. could there be any explanation for this? usually the rosaries that turn to gold are made of a metal alloy called pewter

I want one about 30",every one like that I see is this really lightweight jingly plastic...I want a heavy set on..I seen that guy Q from making the band show has a nice silver one.Where can I find one like that?

I want a rosary for my bf for his birthday. It can be on the internet or somewhere around brockton mass. I just dont want it to be cheesy. I've been looking for about 2 hrs now and they are so expesive! If anyone knows of somewhere please help.

A lot of the crystals and wood rosaries aren't "cheap" at all and I've even found one that smells like roses... not kidding.
