For the Catholics around the world, what does this dream signify to me? Can someone help from the Catholic Division?
By the way, before praying the rosary, I was in depressive mode at that time as if I am no longer believing in God.
Maybe God is trying to tell you He is with you and listening. We all have our doubts at times and this is His way of telling you He is still with you. After all the Church is His home here on earth and we can visit Him when ever we want. Maybe you should make a visit and put all your troubles into His hands and just spend a moment with Him. He'd probably like that. God Bless you.

Does it bring you less close, or is it about the same whether you're praying directly to mary or god?
The Rosary is a meditative devotion on the life of Christ. The prayers themselves are only a part of it. An analogy (though incomplete) would be that if, in your personal time of prayer, you had your Bible open to the second chapter of Luke; read the account of the Nativity and stopped for a few minutes to picture that in your mind, considering the implications of the Incarnation; then went on to read about the presentation of Jesus at the temple and did the same thing again. The Rosary is an intentional focus on those key events. Certainly, prayers of petition and/or intercession are also appropriate during this devotion, but it's much more than just rattling off prayers.
I'm not sure how one would quantify "closeness to God" or even if that's possible. We tend to define closeness in a relationship by how we feel, and a relationship with Christ is much more than just emotion. It's a response of the soul that goes way beyond that. I can say that praying the Rosary devotion has allowed me to know Him better, and in turn that has also enriched and expanded my prayer life in general.
Mary's role in all of this is to point us to Christ; "do whatever He tells you". So in that sense, yes, I do 'feel' closer to Him for having prayed the Rosary, because I have her intercession for just that purpose on my behalf. But that's also why I'm inclined to go directly to Him in prayer more often than I did before I began praying the Rosary on a daily basis. It's not an either/or, Rosary or spontaneous prayer directly to and through Christ; they are intimately connected.
In the Didache, the Apostles specifically said to pray the Lord's Prayer three times a day. When did that change into praying the Rosary??
point is, it wasn't said in the first centuries, so why is it said now. ^_^
Huh? In the *Bible*, which is what we should be following, we aren't told to say rote prayers! In fact, Jesus Christ Himself told us specifically *not* to pray using "vain repetition, as the heathen do" right before He said what is now called "The Lord's Prayer". It doesn't matter whether people pray the rosary or the Lord's Prayer, that is not how we are supposed to pray. It's in the Bible - check it out.
Does anyone have any stories or prayers that were answered because of a devotion to the rosary? If you don't believe in the Rosary please do not answer.
The rosary is not said in vain... each prayer is tied in with the sacred mysteries that are to be pondered and meditated on while praying. If said with love and true meditation it is not in vain.
Also praying the rosary is not praying to Mary it is praying for Marys intercesion and for her graces and protection to be passed down. Those who think of the Rosary this way do not fully understand it.
I had a friend who had to take his grandmother on a long car trip, just the two of them. Well, she talks incessantly, and he was SO grateful for the silence when she would take a break and pray the rosary.
What does the Praying hands with rosary beads symbolize?
